cover

Trading in the shares of Sterling Financial Holdings Plc was suspended on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) on Wednesday, 23 September 2026. The suspension is part of the process for the Company’s approved share reconstruction and will allow its Registrars and the Central Securities and Clearing System Plc (CSCS) to reconcile shareholder records and make the necessary adjustments ahead of the listing of the reconstructed shares.

The reconstruction involves a 10-for-1 consolidation of the Company’s ordinary shares. This means that every 10 existing ordinary shares will be consolidated into 1 reconstructed ordinary share.

As a result, the Company’s issued share capital will change from 68,502,331,708 ordinary shares of ₦0.50 each to 6,850,233,171 ordinary shares of ₦0.50 each. A total of 61,652,098,537 shares will be cancelled as part of the reconstruction.

Trading will resume once the reconstruction has been completed and the reconstructed shares have been listed on NGX. We will provide further updates as they become available.
